Today we thought we’d introduce you to one of our non wine favourites – Pilton Natural Somerst Cider.
Pilton is a craft cider maker at the heart of Somerset’s cider-land, and they make naturally sparkling cider by the old English method of keeving.
Apples are collected from traditional cider orchards in and around the parish of Pilton and slowly fermented for at least six months in their cool Victorian cellar before bottling.
So if nothing else today you’ve learnt a new word and have the opportunity to taste a cider that would kick off any summer meal with friends as well as a Prosecco, Cava or Champagne.
Or you could just open the bottle and wait for the sun to shine…
