We’ve just added another Portuguese red to our list and upgraded our Grüner to something a bit more peppery. Want to know what they’re like? Then come in and try them!
We open our wines at 6-8pm on Friday and 2-6pm on Saturday. It’s free and there’s never any obligation to buy.
Gruber Röschitz die Terrasse Reipersberg Grüner Veltliner 2012 (Austria £14.00)
Groo vee can come in many different guises. We love ‘em lean and peppery, like this wine. The grapes come from a single vineyard with vines up to 60 years old.
Quinta de la Rosa douRosa, Douro Tinto 2011 (Portugal £13.25)
Yes, we’re not too sure about the label either. But inside, you are rewarded with big black cherry and raspberry flavours on a liquorice stick. Bright, supple, fresh. And no roses in sight.
