It’s going to be a fiery Friday the 13th here at Park + Bridge, as we’re cracking open the whisky. We’ve got two distinctly different whiskies from Springbank, which is the oldest independent distillery in Scotland. Everything is handmade using traditional methods and with no artificial colourings.
Springbank 10-Year-Old Single Malt (£37.49)
Matured in Bourbon and Sherry casks, this is distilled two-and-a-half times on lightly-peated barley, giving it a clean, pure taste. Complex with a hint of nuts and light fruit. Crisp and lingering finish.
Longrow Single Malt (£37.49)
The barley used to make Longrow is peat dried, which gives this whisky a big, smoky, peaty kick. It is double distilled. Longrow was first distilled in 1973 as an experiment to show that an Islay-style single malt could be made on the Scottish mainland.
The tasting runs from 6-8pm and is absolutely free. We *may* have a bottle of red wine open as well…
