What We're Drinking: Friday 16th + Saturday 17th August

Stuck in London but dreaming of some Mediterranean sun?

Then come and try our latest arrival, a white wine from Sicily made from a grape called Grillo. It’s nothing fancy. Just a good, simple drop designed for kicking back and sipping by itself or pairing it up with your favourite seafood, chicken or vegetable pasta dish.

We’re paring this up with one of our favourite summer reds – a Chiroubles from France, one of the cru wines of the Beaujolais region.

Baccaria Grillo (£8.90)
A light and fruity white with citrus and tropical aromas. If you’re a fan of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, but fancy trying something new, then pop by and give this a go.

Domaine La Chaponne La Forge Chiroubles (£14.50)
This lighter-bodied, silky red delivers a whole mix of summer berries in a glass. It makes a good accompaniment for fish such as tuna or salmon, but also simple pork dishes, charcuterie and milder cheeses such as the Wyfe of Bath.

Bottles will be open from 6pm – 8pm on Friday and from noon until we run out on Saturday.

Also don’t forget about our current 10 for 10 offer, where if you spend more than £10 on a bottle of wine, you’ll get 10% off a second bottle.* Available until the end of August.
