Cantine Bonelli Tasting
We’re delighted that Elena Bonelli, of Cantine Bonelli, will be in the store on Friday evening to showcase this and some of her other wines.
Full-on fizz (or spumante as the Italians call it) with the second fermentation in bottle, like Champagne. It’s made from Chardonnay blended with local grapes.
This slightly fizzy red made from the Bonarda grape goes well with salami and ham – there’ll be some to nibble so you can see for yourself.
Due Querce Rosso
A red blend of Barbera and Bonarda which is good with more strongly-flavoured meat dishes (and is definitely NOT sparkling).
A semi-sparkling sweet wine that is a match made in heaven with panettone and sponge cakes.
The tasting is absolutely free and we will kick off a little earlier, at 5.30pm – 8pm. While we don’t stock the other wines at present, there will be some available for purchase on the night.
