What We’re Drinking: Friday 25th April

WWD 20140425

The night before our first birthday it’ll be business as usual – a white and a red open for tasting from 6pm – 8pm on Friday. (We’ll have some special fizz open on Saturday to celebrate!)

One is new to the shop and one is a new vintage of a popular white.

Massaya Classic Red 2011 (Lebanon £13.99)
A gutsy, rich, fruity wine from the Bekaa Valley. An unoaked blend of 60% Cinsault +Cabernet Sauvignon & Syrah. Think: plums, cherries, spice. Great with tagines.

Domaine La Bastide Viognier 2013 (France £11.50)
A fleshy, lively, lightly aromatic wine with notes of fresh apricots and lemons. A good match for oriental dishes (but tasty on its own, too).
