What We’re Drinking: Friday 28th February, 6pm

bottle-hope-marguerite-2011Vincisive – who supply us with some of our favourite South African wines – will be showcasing a selection of bottles from producers Beaumont this Friday, 28th February from 6pm.

Beaumont is a family-run farm and winery situated in the Overberg village of Bot River. The farm – home to the region’s oldest wine cellar – is steeped in history, dating back to the 1700s.

Vincisive is run by two airline pilots, Darren Brogden and John Edwards who fell in love with wines from South Africa on their many trips there.

They’ll also be opening a bottle of Bredell’s South African Cape Vintage Reserve 2001 – a fortified wine made using the same grapes and processes as Port.

As with all our Friday tastings, it’s fun, it’s free and there’s absolutely no obligation to buy anything.
