We’re excited to have some wines from the USA back in store again.
We’ve picked two from the lesser-known region of Virginia where producers are providing some serious competition to the West Coast. We think so, anyway.
Come and see if you agree when Chris Parker, from Wines of Virginia, opens these two:
White Hall Vineyards Viognier 2011
Clouds of apricot blossom and honeysuckle, with a touch of freshly-mown grass this has some opulence but is lifted by crisp acidity and citrus notes. 40% fermented in old oak.
Veritas Petit Verdot 2010
Enticing dark fruit aromas with hints of freshly-sharpened pencil. Intense ripe blackcurrant flavours with fine grained but grippy tannins and a super long finish. Decant, have with food and fall in love.
The tasting runs from 2-6pm. It’s free and there’s never any obligation to buy.
