This Saturday we are showcasing a new wine and also welcoming back a summer favourite.
The Massaya Rose was a big hit last summer and we think you’ll love this vintage too. The Villeneuve Saumur Champigny was the stand out wine at a recent supplier tasting. So lets have a look at the tasting notes.
Massaya Rose 2013 (Lebanon)
A Syrah/Cinsault blend, this has the body of a white wine and the personality of an elegant dry rose. Produced by a Lebanese-French collaboration. Great with baba ganoush and tabouleh.
Villeneuve Saumur Champigny 2011 (France)
We’ve got a soft spot for Cab Franc, especially when it combines fragrant red fruit, supple tannins and freshness. Like this wine. It could be our summer crush. Organic.
Saturday’s tasting is in store from 2pm until 6pm, it’s completely free and there’s no obligation to buy anything.
