Bring in the new! Showcase the old (favourite)!
This weekend we’ve got two wines that are perfect for those warm spring outdoor lunches. We’re not going to say hot and jinx everything. But hopefully it’ll be nice enough for some dining al fresco.
The white is new to the shop, and comes from the same producer as the hugely popular Soli Bulgarian Pinot Noir. Its blend of grapes means it could span the gamut of BBQ food.
The Malbec is just perfect for a good charred steak. It’s been with us since day one, but we don’t think we’ve opened it for a tasting. Until now.
Eduardo Miroglio Soli White 2013 (Bulgaria £9.95)
An aromatic blinder of a wine for the price. The sort of wine that makes you yearn for Middle Eastern-style grilled vegetable and couscous salads. Curry-friendly too.
Renancer Punto Final Malbec 2012 (Argentina £10.75)
Smooth, vibrant, full-bodied and juicy with a bit of spicy oak.
Wines are open on Friday from 6-8pm and Saturday from 2-6pm. It’s free and there’s no obligation to buy.
