If you had been along to all of our tastings each weekend since we opened in April you would now have tasted around 75 wines (and quite few beers, several popcorns and some great Spanish meat and cheese).
This week it’s a new arrival and and old favourite:
Tapiz Merlot 2012 (Argentina £11.50)
Soft black plums with flecks of dark chocolate, toast & cloves all held together by well-integrated tannins. A lot of finesse for the price. It’s new but quickly winning a firm following among our regular customers.
Chateau Dereszla Dry Tokaji 2012 (Hungary £12.99)
New vintage of what’s become a firm a shop favourite. A textured, gently spicy blend with a satisfying zesty finish. It’s also one of the wines featured in our Churchfield Selection Box #1.
So whether you’re a regular at our tastings or you’ve never been to one you are welcome to pop in from 6pm on Friday or 2pm on Saturday for a drink and a chat. As with all of our in store tastings, it’s completely free and there is no obligation to buy anything.
